Analysis of Stock Market

DOMESTIC MARKET
The benchmark Nifty bounced back on Monday after a sharp cut seen on Friday as well as previous week. But markets could not hold that recovery and immediately turned volatile. Nifty opened at 5430.15,it was brought to 5385.10 in the early trade. It was trading at 5405.35 with an upward gap of 9.60 points. Top gainers of today’s market are Hero Honda, Bharti Airtel, HDFC Bank and ITC ,while the top losers being Cipla, Hindalco, Tata Power and Tata Motors. Nifty has resistance at 5511.68 and 5627.61 and support at 5324.43 and 5253.11.
Sensex opened at 18135.02 and was trading at 18.59.60.HC,CD,AUTO and Metal are in the negative trend while the market is getting support from REALTY, FMCG, OIL&GAS, TECKetc. Sensex has resistance at 18391.24 and 18774.33 and support at 17776.02 and 17543.89.

INTERNATIONAL MARKET
Asian stocks climbed, extending the MSCI Asia Pacific Index’s biggest weekly gain this year, as earnings increased and the U.S. unemployment rate unexpectedly dropped, boosting confidence in a global economic recovery. Nikkei gained 57.54 points and was trading at 10601.10.Topix reached 941.01 with an increase of 5.65 points, while Hang Seng retreated 117.50 points and was trading at 23791.50.

FII INFLOW
The net FII flow to equity sector on Friday recorded a gain of 661.80 crore as against a loss of 46.10 crore the previous day. The open interest for the previous day in Futures segment was Rs. 40977.46 crore as against 38729.94 crore on Thursday. The open interest in Options segment was Rs. 49801crore as against Rs. 48720.93 crore the previous day. The aggregate open interest in derivative segment was Rs. 90778.46 crore. This was 87450.87 crore Thursday. It may be observed that the aggregate open interest rose 3.80 per cent.

STOCK MARKET TODAY

DOMESTIC MARKET

Indian equities gained strength after an initial consolidation at 10:30 hours, supported by oil & gas, realty, technology, financial, metal, telecom, FMCG and capital goods companies' shares. Nifty opened at 5430.45 and was trading at 5488.85 with an upward gap of 56.85 points REALTY gained 2.13% and INFRA gained 1.01%.Nifty has resistance at 5476.52 and 5521.03 and support at 5401.57 and 5371.13.

Sensex opened at 18113.73 and was trading at 18308.19 with a gain of 217.57 points. REALTY gained 2.21% while OIL & GAS gained 1.97% .Sensex has resistance at 18250.20 and 18409.8 and support at 17986.82 and 17883.02.

INTERNATIONAL MARKET

Japanese stocks fell for the first time in three days as opposing groups clashed in Egypt and some company earnings missed expectations. Nikkei dropped 32.81 points and was trading at 10424.50.TOPIX retreated 3.01 points and reached 926.63.While Hang Seng gained 426.01 points and was trading at 23909.

FII FLOW

The net FII flow to equity sector on Wednesday recorded a loss of 92.93 crore as against 900.50 crore the previous day.The open interest for the previous day in Futures segment was Rs. 39374.41 crore as against 39487.05 crore on Tuesday. The open interest in Options segment was Rs. 47278.07crore as against Rs. 45531.42 crore the previous day. The aggregate open interest in derivative segment was Rs. 86652.48 crore. This was 85018.47 crore Tuesday. It may be observed that the aggregate open interest rose 1.92 per cent.

DOMESTIC MARKET
Equity benchmarks clawed back on the back of short covering, which was imminent after selling seen in previous five sessions. But there was a bit of profit booking at higher levels. Nifty opened at 5469.55 and was trading at 5462.75. Among frontliners, Tata Motors, Reliance Industries, NTPC, TCS, SBI, ICICI Bank and Sterlite Industries were gainers in early trade.Nifty has resistance at 5503.57 and 5589.93 and support at 5366.42 and 5315.63.
Sensex opened at 18216.91 and was trading at 18208.72 with a gain of 186.50 points. REALTY gained 2.21% while OIL & GAS gained 1.97% .Sensex has resistance at 18322.13 and 18622.04 and support at 17852.24 and 17682.04.

INTERNATIONAL MARKET
Asian stocks rose, driving up a regional benchmark index by the most in two months, after companies reported higher earnings and U.S. manufacturing expanded, boosting confidence in a global economic recoveryNikkei rose 193.80 points and reached 10467.80.Topix reached 929.81with an increase of 16.29 points .Hang Seng was trading at 23897.70 with an increase of 414.77 points.

FII FLOW
The net FII flow to equity sector on Tuesday recorded a loss of 900.50 crore as against 592.40 crore the previous day.The open interest for the previous day in Futures segment was Rs. 39487.05 crore as against 38984.12 crore on Monday. The open interest in Options segment was Rs. 45531.42 crore as against Rs. 42792.89 crore the previous day. The aggregate open interest in derivative segment was Rs. 85018.47 crore. This was 81777.01 crore Tuesday. It may be observed that the aggregate open interest rose 3.96 per cent.

STOCK MARKET TODAY

DOMESTIC MARKET

The benchmark Nifty started the trade with a flat to positive bias today, following upside in global markets but now the Market is highly volatile and is trading with a negative trend. Nifty opened at 5537.30 and was trading at 5435.90 losing 70 points. Among frontliners, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Auto, Maruti, Reliance Communications, Reliance Infrastructure, HDFC, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ONGC, SAIL, IDFC and Reliance Industries were on buyers' radar. However, Tata Motors, GAIL, ICICI Bank, TCS, Wipro and ITC were witnessing selling pressure. Nifty has resistance at 5549.62 and 5593.33 and support at 5439.42 and 5372.93.

Sensex opened at 18425.18 and was trading at 18107.25 with a loss of 220.72 points. Most of the sub-indices are in the negative trend. FMCG dropped 2.50% while IT was trading with a loss of 2.03 percentage. Sensex has resistance at 18469.07 and 18610.39 and support at 18112.46 and 17897.71.

INTERNATIONAL MARKET

Asian stocks rose for the first time in three days as earnings improved, higher oil and metal prices boosted commodity companies and U.S. consumer spending climbed. Nikkei rose 42.86 points and reached 10280.80.Topix reached 913.50 with an increase of 3.42 points .Hang Seng was trading at 23500.30 with an increase of 52.99 points.

The net FII flow to equity sector on Monday recorded a loss of 592.40 The open interest for the previous day in Futures segment was Rs. 38984.12 crore and for Options segment was Rs 42792.89 crore. The aggregate open interest in derivative segment was Rs. 81777.01 crore.

NEWS

• India's GDP growth stands revised upwards to 8 per cent for 2009-10.

• Finance ministry to pay $1.74 bln oil subsidy to state-run oil retailers in the December quarter for selling fuel at government-set cheaper rates.
